Wolves are family-oriented animals with great significance across many Pacific Northwest Nations, and a long history of being misunderstood. In Generations, a young wolf pup is surrounded by generations of family members. The wolves are howling to carry a message of healing through these generations and pass along their hope for positive, meaningful change.

Jay Joseph is an artist who enjoys creating formline designs that feature non-traditional or unconventional animals and creatures. Jay lives on unceded Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and səl̓ilwətaɬ land in British Columbia and is a member of the Wet’suwet’en Likhts’amisyu (Fireweed) Clan.
